Someone rightly said that Anxiety is the interest we pay on a loan which we have not taken.
When I see people getting very anxious about what “may” happen I try to explain that starting to worry even before the calamity strikes you will take away your ability to remain calm, evaluate the alternatives and take the right decisions to overcome. But I find more and more people succumbing to anxiety (going right up to the clinical condition of getting Anxiety Attacks), particularly after we entered the covid-era.
Social media and gossip create so many doomsday stories that we cannot enjoy the pleasures of our existing daily life. You can systematically work on reducing anxiety if you become aware. There are many ways (a few are shown in this graphic) but you have to determine what suits you best and keep practicing.
