Some of us enjoy our work and look forward to the mornings, feel contented at the end of the day, and are relaxed.
Others also work very hard, are fully committed to their responsibilities, fulfill all their obligations, but start and end
Have you given a thought how swiftly we are going away from nature?
Come summer and we escape into air-conditioned rooms, cars, malls and restaurants. Higher our sky-scrapers are going, more we are losing touch with grass, flowers, insects, stray dogs, paper boats in the rain. As our “smart-phones” get smarter and more expensive, we are narrowing down our world into the six inch screens. Our view of the sky above is getting constrained and we can rarely admire cloud formations, birds in V-shaped groups, constellations of the stars, and of course the stunningly charming light of the full moon.
Nature does not need us, but we need nature – in many aspects, to survive and, to enrich our lives – but we are not doing much to maintain our harmony with it.
Someone has given a name to our lifestyle and its negative effects – “Nature Deficit Disorder.” Experts love to put labels, but I believe in action. Can we reduce this ‘deficit’, make plans to get back into nature in all possible ways? Please try.
