I love teachers – not just those who teach in classrooms, but all those who choose to share their knowledge, wisdom or skills. The home maker who freely shares her choicest recipes with friends, the neighbor who teaches you how to ride a bike or play table tennis, he senior who helps juniors with their studies or home work.
It is said that the best way to learn is to teach others. Those who have understood the wisdom of this proverb obviously keep teaching others, and growing and rising in the process. Every talent or skill need not be converted into profits – the joy of seeing others learning and benefiting can be immense. Ask the innumerable humble teachers who have worked for years and decades on very modest salaries, sometimes even free, and developed an entire generation of capable youngsters. Their pride cannot be equaled by any other achievement.
