Peace at 6ft Above
Why do we use the phrase “finally at peace” for the departed? Does it mean we cannot be “At Peace” when we are alive? We are meant to suffer and that is called living? I disagree. I think I have found peace within, not all the time but sometimes. Yes, there are the usual family, health, kid’s problems, but there is also peace living side by side. There is a special room inside of me, with a big DO NOT ENTER sign for any of those issues or troubles.
I see a lot of people always busy, rushing, a never-ending list of TO DO’s. There should be a ‘Don’t do anything for 15 minutes in a day’ on that list! People who don’t do that fear something, they don’t want to confront, don’t want to walk right up to it and say WTF? We cannot always be running away, so let’s start running towards
I travelled alone for about 10 days. Thoroughly enjoyed not talking to anyone for a full day. I learned a lot about myself, surprisingly after so many years. At the end of 10 days, I felt very liberated, getting to know me was very exciting.
The silence can be scary sometimes but eventually you will enjoy the quietness of the mind. You can attain a sense of contentment, and come to terms with whatever it is that is bothering you. I am trying to be at peace more frequently – it is not easy but it’s not impossible either. Don’t have to rest in peace 6 feet under, we can be at peace even now.
