Uttara Vidyasagar is a Medical doctor specialised in Preventive Medicine and Community Health. She has practiced medicine in the UK and in India and has taught in a medical College for over 15 years.

She is also a qualified Counselor and Trainer and is the Founder Trustee and Director of 'VIVEKA', Centre for Emotional Support, a not-for profit counseling organization.

Currently the Chairperson of the Grievance Redressal Body/Complaints Committee of the Anti Sexual Harassment Initiatives in the following companies
Mphasis Limited, On Mobile Global Ltd, NDTV, New Delhi Television Ltd, TESCO Hindustan Service Centre Pvt. Ltd.

Provides advice and is involved in investigation of cases ensuring neutrality and fairness for all parties, awareness building on Anti sexual harassment issues, as well as training on sexual harassment issues and investigation of cases.

She conducts life-skills training for young adults in school and colleges, as well as for Corporate Organisations. She has been closely involved with ASHRAYA, for several years supporting and counselling children and parents before, during and after adoption.
