Learning is never as difficult as unlearning
June 8th, 2009Unfortunately we have all learnt some very wrong things that prevent us from leading a fulfilling life, because to correct ourselves we need to start with the process of unlearning, which is a very difficult one.
“I have always done it this way.” “Why should I change when others do not?” “I know enough, I don’t need anyone to teach me what to do.” ……. These are the worst enemies of progress and happiness. Learn to let go – of material things, of dead relationships, of past hurts, and of outdated beliefs.
Whether you are a student or a parent, young or old, start listing out all the unlearning you need to do. Find out where you are stuck with prejudices, superstitions, outdated ideas, or rigidity. Get rid of them one by one, and you will have a clean slate ….. and on that you can write a beautiful new plan of your life. — Ali
DCS will be an experience on the road less traveled. It cannot be called a course, a program, a course, a study. It is something that each one would describe in different words.
As you already know, there are no text books, there is no theory or curriculum, there is no written examination, and there are no “examiners”. It is a process where you will examine yourself, look into the deeper YOU, and understand yourself – before you start understanding others.
We will take you along very gently, and each of you can work at your own pace. There are no comparisons with others. No one stands first, and no one “fails”. We walk the walk with you till you complete the transformation and evolution. The only intention in this year-long journey is, as our motto says, “to improve quality of life” – yours and ours.
Happy journey !
